Born inside a studio, not in an office
Aforo is the booking system we built inside a pottery studio in Madrid. That studio has used it day to day since 2025.

When you write, the person who built the program answers. There's no salesperson in between.
A pottery studio in Madrid asked us for help. Instead of adapting a gym program for them, we built one from scratch.
We built it around their day-to-day work, with their classes, their wheels, their pieces and their memberships. That studio still uses it.
Aforo is that system turned into a product, which is why it has things a generic booking program has no reason to have.
What they had the day they called
- The diary
- On WhatsApp
- Class passes
- In a notebook
- The waiting list

From a pottery studio to other creative activities
- 2025
The first studio runs its classes, class passes and memberships on the system. There's no longer a notebook.
- 2026
It opens up to other creative activities: painting, jewellery, sewing, printmaking, paint and sip, and celebrations.
In short
Who is behind Aforo, since when, and with what limits.
Aforo is a product of Kiva, a product and marketing studio based in Madrid.
The company that owns it is SCOPE X TECHNOLOGIES SL, registered at Calle Pablo Casals 10, Madrid, with its details published in the legal notice on this website.
It has existed since 2025, when a pottery studio in Madrid asked for help and, instead of adapting a gym program for it, one was built around its day-to-day work. That studio still uses it.
That is where the features come from that a generic booking program has no reason to have.
For example, capacity counted per wheel, pieces waiting on the shelf with their owner's name, or pre-enrolment that allocates places by seniority.
During 2026 it opened up to other creative activities. The person who answers when you write is the person who built the program, within one working day.
We are not available twenty-four hours a day.
About Aforo and who makes it
We also write about the craft, with data: the Aforo blog.
Who is behind Aforo?
Aforo is a product of Kiva, a small studio based in Madrid that works with local businesses.
The company that owns it is SCOPE X TECHNOLOGIES SL, registered at Calle Pablo Casals 10, Madrid, and all those details are published in the legal notice on this same website, so you don't have to go looking for them.
We are not an international platform with a sales office in Spain: the website, the product, the invoicing and the support are done here and in Spanish, and the person who answers when you write is the person who built the program.
That has an advantage and a limitation, and we tell you both.
The advantage is that there are no layers between you and whoever can fix something; the limitation is that there are few of us, so we are not available twenty-four hours a day and we don't promise to be.
What we do tell you is how long we take. We reply within one working day.
How long has Aforo been around?
Since 2025, when the first studio started running its classes with it instead of with a notebook. What matters about that date is where the features came from.
They were written to solve problems that were already happening. That's why capacity is counted per wheel and not per room, and pieces wait on the shelf with their owner's name and their status.
Class passes expire or not depending on what you decide, and pre-enrolment allocates places by seniority rather than by whoever replies first.
During 2026 it opened up to other creative activities: painting, jewellery, sewing, printmaking, paint and sip, and celebrations.
They all share the same underlying problem even though the material changes, because what you sell is a place in a group and not a slot in a diary, and afterwards you have to take the payment and let people know.
Where is my students' data stored?
On servers inside the European Union, and it's yours, not ours. You can export it whenever you like in a format that opens in a spreadsheet: customers, bookings, class passes, memberships and the full history.
If you cancel, you take it with you; it doesn't stay here as a hostage to stop you leaving.
In legal terms you are the controller of that data and Aforo is your processor, which is the role that applies.
Children's workshops also collect the guardian's consent within the booking itself, with the name of the responsible adult, so you don't end up with loose permission slips in your inbox.
And if a student asks you to delete theirs, they're deleted. The migration when you join and the export when you leave are both included, at no cost in either direction.
Is Aforo Spanish software?
Yes, in everything that matters when something breaks on a Tuesday afternoon. It's made in Spain by a Spanish company, and that means four specific things.
The website and the program were written in Spanish, not half-translated from English.
The invoicing is Spanish, with VAT itemised and all the tax details, and your accountant can use it as it is.
Payments work with Redsys as well as Stripe, which matters in Spain because many studios take payments through their own bank and don't want to switch banks.
And we provide the support ourselves, in Spanish and during your working hours, without going through an automated assistant that sends you a help article written with another country and other regulations in mind.
When you ask about an invoice or the GDPR, the answer is the one that applies here.
Let the studio come first again
We do the setup with you, with no minimum term and no commission per booking. If your diary lives on WhatsApp, this is for you.
Write to us and we'll reply within one working day. Please note that Aforo works in Spanish: the dashboard, your booking page and the emails your students receive.
