Mindbody is the global wellness platform: yoga, fitness, spas and salons across half the world, with its own booking marketplace.

For a creative studio in Spain it has two big drawbacks, and both are visible before you try anything.

The first is price. Its entry plan starts at £89 a month per location (about €104), and the higher plans aren't published, so you have to talk to sales in a process designed for chains.

The entry plan alone already comes to more than €1,200 a year per location. The second is language.

As of 21 August 2026 we couldn't find a pricing page in Spanish. Aforo plays in a different league on purpose.

It's software made in Spain only for creative studios and workshops, with public prices from €29 to €69 a month and 0% commission per booking.

It comes with the craft features (pieces, priority enrolment by seniority, memberships with arrears) that a gym platform is never going to build.

How much does Mindbody cost a studio a year?

Mindbody's entry plan costs more than €1,200 a year per location, in pounds and with the sales process in English.

Aforo's Estudio plan, the one that already includes pieces and enrolments, costs €588 a year excluding VAT, in Spanish, with a migration done with you and no commission per booking.

What a studio really needs is for pieces not to get lost, for the places on the new course to be allocated without upsetting anyone and for what's owed on memberships to be in plain sight.

That isn't in the catalogue of gym software at any price.

And does language really matter that much?

It matters on a Tuesday afternoon, with a class about to start and a booking that doesn't add up.

As of 21 August 2026 we couldn't find a Mindbody pricing page in Spanish, and its sales process is in English.

At Aforo the website, the product, the invoice and support are all available in Spanish, and the person who answers is the person who built it.

The data lives on servers in the European Union and can be exported whenever you like.

    It's the giant of its category in wellness and fitness, and for that business there's no debate: we don't play there.

  • You want to be on its booking marketplace

    The Mindbody app is a place where people look for classes nearby. Aforo has nothing like it: your website and your brand are your shop window.

  • Your business is yoga, fitness or a spa

    Mindbody is built for that. Aforo doesn't try to sell itself to a gym, because that would be lying to someone.

  • How much does Mindbody cost?

    It doesn't publish all of it. As of 21 August 2026, its UK pricing page shows only the entry plan: from £89 a month per location, which is about €104 at that date's exchange rate.

    The Accelerate and Ultimate plans have no public price and you have to contact sales to find out.

    That price is also per location, so a business with two sites pays twice.

    Aforo publishes all of its prices from day one (€29, €49 or €69 a month excluding VAT), and what decides the plan is what you need switched on, not how much you sell or how many rooms or professionals you have.

    Two of the three plans having no figure doesn't make them expensive, but it does stop you putting them next to another program without first handing over your details and waiting for a call.

  • Is Mindbody available in Spanish?

    Its program and its app have an international presence and part of the interface is translated, but as of 21 August 2026 we couldn't find a pricing page in Spanish: the Spanish-language pricing address wasn't available.

    You notice it when you need support on a Tuesday afternoon with a class about to start, or when you have to understand a billing condition.

    Aforo is a program made in Spain: the website, the product, billing and support are all available in Spanish, and the person who answers is the person who built it.

    The data also lives on servers in the European Union, with the guardian's consent collected in the booking as standard for children's workshops, and it can be exported whenever you like.

    For a Spanish studio, that covers compliance without you having to set it up yourself.

    Not one that it publishes. As of 21 August 2026 its UK pricing page starts with the Starter plan, from £89 a month per location, without mentioning any free plan or any trial.

    Aforo doesn't have a free plan or a fifteen-day trial either, and we say so here rather than at the end of a form.

    The difference is in the starting point: Aforo starts at €29 a month for the whole business, however many rooms or teachers you have.

    And the way in is a twenty-minute demo set up with your classes, your prices and your capacities.

    After that you sign up with no minimum term and with your data exportable from day one: the month it doesn't fit, you cancel and take it with you, with no deadlines to watch and no refund windows that quietly close.

  • Can I move from Mindbody to Aforo?

    Yes. The setup includes a migration done with you, and it's included in the price at no extra cost.

    You export your data from your current account and we import your catalogue of classes and courses, your customers and their contact details.

    Any active class passes also come across, with their remaining sessions, and so does your booking history.

    That way you keep track of who has come to what over the past few years.

    Then we check it with you before the switchover, which happens on the day you choose.

    If something in your account can't be exported cleanly, we tell you before you sign up, not when there's no going back.

    We do the migration ourselves from your export: we don't leave you with a file and a manual to sort it out on your own.
